We've found that sheep and cows will eat the onions, citrus and potatoes that the pigs won't. What we are doing now is presenting it to the pigs, letting them eat for a few hours a d then scooping up the remains and giving it to the cows and sheep for final cleanup. At this point we are getting pretty close to 100% utilization by multi species coverage.
Awesome 1T of fruit!! Would you believe all the grocery stores around here will not give away their old produce? I checked 6 of them and they all toss it in the trash, which is covered and locked up tight... Ludicrous!
Awesome 1T of fruits!! Would you believe I checked with all the grocery stores w/in 15 miles of my farm for old produce etc.. and none of them will give it away. Goes into a locked/lidded dumpster... what a shame.
Looks good, I hate it when I end up with a whole triwall of onions or citrus. But, I can't complain

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't be able to do it. I would have to pick through it and get out the good stuff for myself.
