I picked up 6 acres for under 12k at a tax sale a few years back, had a pond, and fruit trees already too. There are a few realtors out there who solely purchase tax sale properties and fix them up and resell them. they typically have some bare land properties where a home burned down etc. Georgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16948064168681062105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1842136564899097734.post-51704309872265368732013-11-12T16:43:34.354-08:002013-11-12T16:43:34.354-08:00Great post. I would love to have a decent sized country property one day (maybe not a farm proper, but perhaps a 5-10 acre homestead where I can have a huge garden and some livestock to sustain my family and maybe some friends). I don't have a farm to inherit, nor did I have the means to just go out and buy such a place after high school, so I went to law school first. Instead of taking a fancy vacation this year, I did a farm-stay on a pastured pig farm.

And I'll continue to live in my little apartment and volunteer on local farms and put away savings until I can afford what I want.

erinnAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04347394867496057501noreply@blogger.com
