My ...Hi Bruce, I just LOVE your pigs and your dogs. My dogs and my pigs are my favorite animals on my tiny farm :) I love the way you do things on your farm and I love reading your blog! I feed my 6 pigs a very varied diet. The last thing they want is hay or grass. They eat those two things when if they are still hungry after eating the grains & pig pellets and other foods I give them. They are such fun creatures, and I cannot wait until my now-pregnant sow has her babies. It will be my first baby pigs :) <br />anyways, please keep posting - so I can keep reading :D Thank you.Theresa Towellnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1842136564899097734.post-32519014703372573912009-12-19T22:18:03.642-08:002009-12-19T22:18:03.642-08:00Monster and Kat, my dog and bitch, came to me with...Monster and Kat, my dog and bitch, came to me with their tails docked. I decided not to dock the tails of the pups; the breed standard both has docked and undocked tails. The problem is that it contains a demerit for a tail that curls back over the dogs back. I think that's why most breeders dock the tails these days -- eliminates the penalty.Bruce Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10995706761794063165noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1842136564899097734.post-47793984162675631162009-12-19T09:42:39.421-08:002009-12-19T09:42:39.421-08:00Hadn't noticed before that your dog's tail...Hadn't noticed before that your dog's tail wasn't docked. Pigs really loved it on a cold winter morning. I can still hear them squealing with excitement and anticipation when they saw the bucket of steaming Pig Porridge coming their way. Made for some great tasting pork.sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10216149086520612937noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1842136564899097734.post-43977493756853315372009-12-18T19:58:48.799-08:002009-12-18T19:58:48.799-08:00I don't know whether I'd say Yummm, but it...I don't know whether I'd say Yummm, but it is fun hearing how much the pigs like it.Susan from the Pacific Northwesthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06910439859917160063noreply@blogger.com
