I asked my neighbor about this once, he grows commercial pumpkins and other squashes, and I was wondering what things of his were volunteering in our fields that wash over in the floods or get carried by animals or whatever. He said who knows, as they hybridize easily on their own, so you can get funky crosses. I have noticed different looking ones even on the same vine. Our dog Maggie things they are vines of organic tennis balls, grown just for her! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
